Jess started Veterinary Nursing in 2013 when she was fresh out of high school. Jess has been working at other local clinics over the years until she got offered a position at Wingham & Valley Vets in 2023 and we are thrilled to have her on the team. She is warm, caring and extremely dedicated to her patients. Jess has her Certificate III in captive Animal Management and interned at Taronga Western Plains Zoo – her love of animals isn’t just confined to domestic pets – she cares for all creatures great and small.
Jess is a proud member of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia and enjoys attending conferences and participating in webinars to stay up to date with her skills and knowledge. Jess has a special interest in surgery and anaesthesia, pathology and small animal medicine. She particularly enjoys working closely with the patients to get them back home and healthy with their loving families.
Jess enjoys outdoor activities especially hiking and spending time with her Foxy/Jack Russell Terrier Snoopy and her black and white fluff ball cat Dennis. She also doesn’t mind a relaxing vino at the end of the day, listening to good music and playing her violin.
When asked about what she loves about working at Wingham & Valley Vets Jess said “I accepted a job there without any hesitation and I love it. I’m very proud to be a Vet Nurse at WVV. No two days are the same and I never stop learning! Helping all animals no matter how big or small when they can’t speak for themselves is my passion and my way of giving back in this world.”
