At Wingham & Valley Vets, we are committed to delivering the highest standards of veterinary care because we know that for the vast majority of our clients, their pets are cherished members of the family.
Our dedication to best-practice veterinary medicine is supported by:
A talented and passionate team of veterinarians who continually pursue professional growth through ongoing education.
State-of-the-art equipment, regularly updated to stay at the forefront of innovation and care standards.
Fear-Free accreditation for all staff, ensuring a calm and stress-free experience for pets.
A supportive hospital environment where our team collaborates, encourages, and learns from one another to provide the best care possible.
We are proud to operate out of our brand-new, purpose-built veterinary hospital in Wingham, which opened in October 2023. Designed with inspiration from the town’s beautiful heritage buildings, offering cutting-edge features to benefit our patients, clients, and staff.
Our hospital is thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities, including a welcoming waiting room with separate areas for cats and dogs, six consultation rooms (two dedicated to cats as a Gold-Accredited Cat Friendly practice), and two advanced small animal surgical suites. We also provide specialised spaces for canine reproduction, digital radiology, equine care, and ICU treatment, ensuring exceptional care for pets and large animals alike.
We have piped oxygen throughout our hospital to every treatment station, as well as observation cameras on our ICU enclosures for the stabilisation and monitoring of our Emergency and Critical Care patients.
Helps all Veterinarians and Nurses deliver better care for their patients by not only looking after their physical wellbeing, but also their emotional wellbeing. Fear-free handling of patients is an essential part of our practice philosophy as it minimises stress and anxiety for pets and helps to avoid the development of negative associations with the Veterinary hospital and people in general.
We provide education opportunities to Veterinary Students from Universities all over Australia.
We are proud of the contribution we make to Veterinary Education in this country. This involvement with the Universities and hosting Veterinary Students on placement not only means we mentor and train future Vets, but our standards of care are continually improved and modernised by this relationship with the Universities who are at the forefront of Veterinary Medicine research.
Our staff and hospital have undergone an international accreditation process and staff are trained in how to handle cats sensitively, to minimise fear and anxiety and our hospital facilities must meet specific criteria so cats are housed comfortably in a low-stress environment.
