For as long as Ellie can remember, she has known that she wanted to work with animals. Before Ellie started working with us at Wingham & Valley Vets she worked in property law as a legal assistant.
Many of the skills she gained in her previous role are transferable to her current role as a Receptionist, a role she performs with outstanding skill and efficiency. Ellie thrives on the variety and variability of working in a Veterinary Hospital - every single day is different and she loves that about her work with us. Ellie’s lovely, bubbly and caring personality have made her a favourite with clients and staff alike and we are truly grateful to have someone of Ellie’s ability on our administration team.
Ellie is currently studying her Certificate IV in Equine Studies to broaden her Equine knowledge and she can’t wait to further her education in animal care once she has completed her current course.
Ellie has two dogs (Ardy & Charlie) and a horse (Chilli). She loves going trail riding through the bush or on the beach as often as she can. If Ellie isn’t riding, in her spare time you’ll find her lounging at the beach or going on a hike.
There are so many things Ellie loves about her job - she feels animals have so much to say, we only have to listen! “I love seeing all different species of wildlife come into our practice. I find it fulfilling to know that we help these beautiful creatures along their journey and are able to rehabilitate them once they are healed. I am so grateful to all the wonderful FAWNA volunteers that welcome these natives into their care. We couldn’t do this without them! I also love our loyal and devoted clients. It’s always so special to see the connection between owner and animal. My favourite thing about working at Wingham & Valley Vets is the people I work with. Absolutely everyone is kind, approachable and dedicated to their work. It is a privilege to be surrounded by such a supportive team.”
