Zac became a Director of Wingham & Valley Vets in 2021 and he is a leader in the Practice who focuses on maintaining high standards in both our diagnostic capabilities and patient comfort and care. Zac adores his patients, and with a passion for mentoring our younger Veterinarians, he is exceptionally well-suited to his clinical leadership role.
Following graduation, Zac moved with his wife Claire to the Hunter Valley to work in Mixed Practice, before locuming in the UK and Australia. During this time, Zac worked at Wingham and Valley Vets and it quickly became apparent that Zac was a rare asset and that his diverse skillset would be integral to pursuing excellence within the Practice.
Zac enjoys the challenges and varied caseload that mixed practice provides. Zac has a particular interest in all aspects of eye medicine (Ophthalmology) and has undertaken significant additional study in this area. Zac excels at Small Animal Medicine and he recently completed the Centre for Veterinary Education Internal Medicine Course. Zac recognises and affirms that the key to excellent Medicine is an accurate diagnosis, and it is this philosophy that helps to direct what we do every day at Wingham & Valley Vets.
Zac also loves getting out of the clinic to work with large animals and he is an extremely capable and versatile mixed-practice Veterinarian. Zac loves the variety of Mixed Practice and he enjoys seeing all large animals. Zac has a considerable following in the goat community due to his experience and expertise in this area.
When he is not working, you’ll find Zac enjoying all things outdoors, such as tennis, surfing and exploring the beautiful Mid-North Coast. He also enjoys following the AFL and spending time with his wife Claire, their Border Collie Jasper, Scottish Deerhound Gillie and two cats Oscar and Tilly.
