Dr. Anna Gourley

Dr. Anna Gourley started working at Wingham & Valley Vets in September 2019 as a full-time Mixed Practice Veterinarian and she is one of the Senior Veterinarians in the practice.

Originally from Tasmania, Anna has over 15 years mixed practice experience and is an extremely caring and capable Veterinarian. We receive wonderful compliments from our farming clients about Anna’s large animal expertise as there is very little she can’t do. As a result, she contributes significantly to the large animal capabilities of the Practice.

Anna’s special interests are cattle medicine and surgery. She completed a Post-Graduate Masters of Veterinary Medicine through Massey University in 2022 that furthered her expertise in both small and large animals, with a specific focus on calf medicine. Anna is BullCheck® accredited and has been PregCheck® accredited for over 10 years.

Anna delivers our Bull Testing Service to Manning Valley cattle producers with skill and efficiency.

Anna likes the variety of large and small animal work and so you are likely to see her in the practice caring for your beloved pets and out on the various large animal runs we offer. Anna is primarily responsible for both the Krambach and the Comboyne runs, as she loves being out and about on farm.

Prior to starting with us, Anna was working in Mount Gambier for 5 years and prior to that she was locuming in the UK and Darwin. Anna is a keen Hockey player and she also loves trail running and traveling. She has two beautiful dogs – Ronnie the Labrador and Stanley the Groodle.

Anna says she enjoys the variety of working in this Practice, every day is different and she loves working with fabulous colleagues. Her favourite job to do at work is to deliver a beautiful healthy calf.
