Ashleigh Woollard

Ash undertook her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing with Wingham & Valley Vets and is now a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse and an integral part of our nursing team. Ash is a wonderful asset to our nursing staff, with an incredibly warm, empathetic and caring nature. We are very glad that Ash decided to try Veterinary Nursing as a career and it was a privilege to support and teach her as she progressed towards full qualification. Her dedication and commitment to her studies has carried through to her Veterinary Nursing and the she brings incredible enthusiasm, care and diligence to the care of every patient. When Ash is monitoring your pet's anaesthetic, you know they are in safe hands as she watches over every patient as if they were her own beloved pet.

Ash is a true animal lover and has a small hobby farm with lots of sheep, 5 wonderful dogs and a cat. She loves to spend my spare time on her farm with her husband and animals, as well as taking her dogs to the beach.

When asked what her favourite thing is about her job, Ash said “Learning something new every day. I also love being able to comfort and support animals whilst recovering in hospital and have really enjoyed learning how to monitor animals under anaesthetic for various procedures. I have also really enjoyed learning from Amber and the other staff about fear free handling and reading animals’ body language”.
