Ashleigh Woollard

Ash is our nursing trainee student who has completed her Certificate 2 in Animal Studies and is halfway through her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing. Ash is a wonderful asset to our nursing team, with an incredibly warm, empathetic and caring nature. We are very glad that Ash decided to try Veterinary Nursing as a career and it is a privilege to support and teach her as she progresses towards full qualification.

Ash is a true animal lover and has a small hobby farm with lots of sheep, 5 wonderful dogs and a cat. She loves to spend my spare time on her farm with her husband and animals, as well as taking her dogs to the beach.

When asked what her favourite thing is about her job, Ash said “Learning something new every day. I also love being able to comfort and support animals whilst recovering in hospital and have really enjoyed learning how to monitor animals under anaesthetic for various procedures. I have also really enjoyed learning from Amber and the other staff about fear free handling and reading animals’ body language”.
