Ann was a long-term client of Wingham & Valley Vets who joined our team as a Receptionist in 2022. Ann brought with her a wealth of experience in Reception and Administration, with a Diploma and Certificate IV in Business Administration and Basic Accounting and over 20 years’ experience working in administrative roles as an executive assistant, legal secretary and payroll supervisor.

Ann is a wonderful asset to our Reception team as she also has a vast amount of canine experience, having shown her beautiful Belgian Shepherds for many years, as well as operating her own boarding facility for 8 years. Ann’s love of Belgians began when she rescued her first Belgian Shepherd, Bear. She then imported two more from Sweden and has been showing and competing in dog sports since then. She currently has three beautiful Belgians, TJ, Ella and Kasey.

Ann has been passionate about horses since she was a child, when she had her first pony which she rode to school each day. This progressed to competing in gymkhanas, showing in halter, hacking and dressage, including competing successfully at National level. Ann has also bred Anglo Arabs and warmblood Arabians.

Ann enjoys all activities involving her dogs – competitions (showing and dog sports), walking, and camping. When asked what she loves about her job she said “Working in a beautiful, state of the art vet clinic with a professional, dedicated and caring team and meeting a wide diversity of pets and their owners.”
