Amie was born and raised in the Manning Valley, growing up on a dairy farm at Mondrook, where she lives with her husband, five beautiful children, horses, cats and dogs.
Amie joined the Wingham & Valley Vets team in 2017, after training and working at another local Veterinary Hospital for several years. Amie is a Certificate IV qualified Vet Nurse and she brought with her a wealth of experience, a lovely sunny personality and a real love of animals and Vet Nursing.
Amie adores animals and has wanted to be a Vet Nurse since she was 5 years old. When they were both children, she would say to her cousin Alissa that one day when Alissa was a Vet, Amie would work with her as a Vet Nurse and now that is a reality!
Amie is a true all-rounder and takes on both Reception and Veterinary Nursing roles at Wingham & Valley Vets and we feel blessed that she is a part of our team. Not only does Amie care for our clients and patients with love and dedication, she also cares for her teammates with the same warmth and compassion and she has been a key player in helping to develop the bond and camaraderie that exists between all our staff. It is that bond which contributes to happiness within the team and a happy team delivers better patient care and outcomes. Always ready to lend a hand or to offer assistance, Amie’s dedication and experience are wonderful assets to the Practice.
When asked what she likes about working at Wingham and Valley Vets Amie said: “There are so many wonderful things about working at WWV. Working in the amazing new purpose-built hospital with all the best equipment makes it easy to do my job. I love being there to support our Vets and help them care for all our patients, it is such a rewarding job. And what a privilege it is to work with such an amazing team - every single one of my coworkers brings something special to our team and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of it.”
