It's not just what we know... it's how much we care!

Dr Rachel McGowan joined the Wingham & Valley Vets team in August 2022. We were incredibly impressed with Rachel’s empathy, technical skills and expertise when she spent some time at the practice in 2021 and we knew she would be a fantastic fit for our hospital.

Rachel was an outstanding student at University and has a strong interest in both small and large animal surgery. She received First Class Honours for her project focused on small animal reconstructive surgery and was also awarded the Bruce Christie Surgery Prize. Her skills will be a wonderful asset to our already diverse veterinary team.

Outside of work Rachel loves swimming at the beach, playing netball, travelling and trying to keep up with her gorgeous lab puppy Winnie.
