Alissa graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney and joined the practice in 2016 as a Director. Much of her childhood was spent in the beautiful Manning Valley and Alissa and her husband Michael decided it would be a wonderful place to work and raise their young family. Alissa had wanted to be a vet since she was 3 years old and she enjoys her job immensely.
Prior to joining the Wingham and Valley Vets, Alissa had been working in mixed practice in Tasmania and the Hunter Valley and she loves the variety of cases that the practice has to offer. Her special interests include Orthopaedic Surgery and Small Animal Medicine and she has published a research paper in the Journal of Dairy Science on the use of sexed-semen in Dairy heifers.
Alissa recently completed a continuing education course in Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound and has been enjoying building on her skills in this area.
Alissa is kept busy raising her three beautiful daughters and in her spare time she enjoys hockey, vegetable gardening and going to the beach.
